Dorothy  is a highly Intuitive Reiki Master trained in the Traditional Usui System, founded by Dr. Mikao Usui. She received her Reiki levels 1 & 2 certifications in 1994, from John Harvey Gray one of 22 Reiki Masters, trained by Hawayo Takata. Takata’s teacher Yamato Hayashi received his training from Dr. Mikao Usui himself. Dorothy later received her Reiki Mastership in 1998.

She first began practicing Reiki in 1994 on a part-time basis, while working full-time in the staffing industry. She is highly gifted on many levels and possess an innate ability to sense physical and emotional issues, without prior knowledge. She is compassionate, thoughtful, and a powerful healer. She is deeply committed to helping others and is also keen on directing energy to areas of the body that needs it most.

Dorothy was led to healing work in the early 1990’s, after experiencing a steady and intense stream of energy radiating down her arms and into the palm of her hands. These experiences were quite daunting, particularly because they frequently occurred while at work. Unbeknownst to Dorothy, she was being observed by a colleague, who later approached her and offered her opinion. She encouraged Dorothy to pursue healing work of some kind. Dorothy eventually took her advice, researched several healing modalities, but was drawn to “Reiki healing.”

Dorothy previously worked in the employment industry as a: Technical Recruiter/Manager, Account Executive and Office Manager. Prior to staffing, she worked in the business school sector as a Financial Aid Director
